Ongoing Work

Marine FC

Toward the end of 2017, I started creating video content for Crosby-based football club Marine – most of which can be found here on YouTube.

Below is an example of my work:

AFC Liverpool

In the summer of 2017, before starting with Marine, I excitedly joined the media team at AFC Liverpool. Working as a video-journalist, creating all kinds of content for use on the club’s website and social media pages – particularly match highlights packages, which can be found here on YouTube.

Below is an example of my work:

With a friend that I met at Liverpool John Moores University, I started up a project called ‘Merseycider’ (well, re-started – read more here). We travel to different pubs and breweries around the North West of England and give our verdict. It’s a great way for us to both sharpen our journalistic tools and, perhaps, get create a platform for ourselves. You can read all of our articles on our blog.

Via Andy Johnson – who I met during my time at Click Liverpool – I started creating video content for his new project; a new video-shop-slash-arcade-slash-creative-space called VideOdyssey. You can watch all of the videos I’ve created here, below is an example of one:

Beards Are Sexy

Writing for the men’s lifestyle and fashion website was my first continuously paid writing gig. I typically write about all things beards – usually five articles per week – and all of my work can be read here.

Paisley Gates

Paisley Gates is an independent, omnipresent Liverpool FC blog that I freelance for. I’ve written for numerous other websites, in a similar fashion, but the ethos of the website and what I’m allowed to create with PG is, so far, the most enjoyable I’ve experienced when writing about football.

Currently, I write about whatever I like but I frequently contribute to the website by writing up match previews and reaction for Liverpool games.

Northern Rock

In early 2017, I presented a weekly music show on Maghull Radio; the Northern Rock music show – as it’s known – was on air every Monday from 8-10pm and featured two news bulletins at 30 minutes past eight and nine. There was also a quick football update at the show’s midway point in which I read out the most recent scores of local non-league football teams in Merseyside.

Below is an example of what you can expect from my show:

The show is currently off air as I am prioritising my time elsewhere but I sporadically create video content for Northern Rock – you can find that here on YouTube – and manage the Twitter and Facebook accounts whenever I get spare time.

Dread Central

Dread Central is awesome. I get to write about everything horror related for them, be that TV shows, movies, video games or – one that I am particularly proud of – even a play. I’ve no schedule to write for the website so I contribute as and when I can.
